How come having removed the 57I K&N kit in favour of their opanel filter, I'm now having to adjust the dawes to get full boost agiain, it may not be by much, but it defo gave higher boost WITH the induction kit, rather than the panel filter, so
Why is that??

GM mostly, but plenty say they don't work unless you've got bigger turbo etc, just means I've got a bit of fiddling to do again!!

It does work but not to the extent as what a lot of Max Power Nova kids says. But it does have its disadvantages when you're stuck in traffic..

During the summer I removed my blanking plate in the vent above my Pipex on the bonnet and had to adjust my dawes because I started to hit boost cut straight away. Cheapest mod with measurable benefits ever done, blanking plate back on now the weather is a bit more unclement.

on lightly modded cars there is probably little or no difference between the standard airbox with a decent panel filter and an induction kit. In fact, the panel filter is probably slightly better as it is fed pretty much totally cold air.

Once you get to a certain point though, the standard airbox starts to become restrictive and that's when an induction kit becomes necessary.

Look at all the 350-400 and beyond bhp cars on here and 99.9% have induction kits.
