have just got a scoob with gauges,
oil pressure gauge is worrying me.
when idling it drops below o ,but rises and stays when revved.
when gauges are fitted does this replace dashboard warning lamp?
as this does not come on when key turned!
do gauges generally have a warning light as well?
is this just a dicky gauge ,or sender?
is my oil press ok , how do i check gauge sender , pressure etc.
also boost gauge stays at -0.5 when running , when booted it rises to about 1bar should it not tick over at 0

What make of gauges m8?

I have Defis....my '98 UK car ticks over at 2.0bar oil pressure, then rises to 6.0 under power.
Are you sure it's reading 0? I'd be a bit worried if it was really no oil pressure!

As far as the boost gauge goes, what you describe is normal. Negative readings are due to a vacuum in the manifold when not on boost, and are normal. A standard car will boost to 0.9-1.0bar .

gauges are racimex .
press drops back off scale as if car is turned off.
as if no pressure thats why I,m worried press is at 8 bar if revved to 1200 rpm or above .
where can i get a new sender?
also what is a normal oil temperature reading .

I think mine is pretty normal ,but reading will vary depending on oil pump, and type of oil. I've been in Bob Rawle's car, and his ticks over, and runs about 1 bar above what mine does. Uprated pump, different grade of oil.

cheers Alcazar , but i was questioning temperature!
also just noticed Demon Tweeks do T pieces,
but doesnt list scooby in catalogue.
is t piece just a square length of bar with 1 male thread on , and 2 females or a piece of tube? are threads tape?

Ah, sorry, I should read the post properly, or not post after alcohol:D:
Right: mine varies between 90 degrees on normal driving (???????), and about 120 degrees if pasted.

Didn't cause Bob Rawle to exclaim when I had remap done, so I assume it's good;)

Can't help with T-pieces though.
