On my long haul to about 330hp i've so far fitted a full decat exhaust, filter, uprated fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator (set to 3.2 bar). I've also got a TD05FE and 440 injectors waiting to be fitted.

My question is if I fitted the injectors with the above mods would i need to get a remap or could i run the car for a while?

I plan to go see PE at some stage and I'll get them to do a remap and fit the turbo at the same time but just wanted to know if i can fit the injectors first.

Any advice please?

i have all those mods and waiting for my 440s to go in in feb a day before i get it re mapped, ive heard the car can struggle really bad with the bigger injectors thats why mine are getting fitted 1 day before, im getting the re map at brd and was told to fit them at the last minute. they know more than me so thats what im doing

Can it not be sorted by adjusting the FPR ? - interrested in the answer too.

I was thinking along those lines myself but would be interested to hear any other theories?

I assume you're going from 380 to 440? Closed loop should be able to manage this, assuming a working lambda. But at WOT it'll switch to open loop and you'll be running too much fuel.

Fit at last minute, and drive off boost - should be fine :)

Scooby97

I'm off to Bob Rawle at BR Developments at the end of January for a re-map as well.

I'm fitting Sti pink injectors, fuel pump, FPR and FE TD05 just a couple of days before. Bob has advised keep it off boost and set the FPR to 2.6 to 2.7 bar at hot idle with the vacuum disconnected.

Does this help ??

Andy Forrest managed to get hold of one for me....

I fitted 440's to my car mapped for 380's last night then drove is to PE for the re-map. Drove off boost and with FPR turned down to 2.5bar.

Not sure if my experience is exactly normal but it ran as rough as a badgers ass, I had HUGE clouds of blue smoke and drank three times the fuel it should have.

In my experiance 440's and standard map defo don't mix ;)

Scooby97..Andy got mine too :D :D :D :D :D :D

I've been told to expect lumpy running at idle and nothing over 3000 RPM before the re-map for the new injectors etc. :(

What I need is some sort of Star trek type transporter to get me to Bob Rawle....

ENERGISE..........

Midlife

Apologies to any trekies
