I think i may have a leaking rocker cover gasket on my My97 Turbo.
Been getting a strong smell of burning oil coming into the car and smoke coming out of the scoop. I think its coming from the drivers side. Not noticed a drop in the oil level though. Is this common, easy to fix and cheap.
Cheers

Ouch!!! I can see traces of burnt oil on the exhaust just below the drivers side rocker cover. It looks a sod of a job as there is not a lot of room in there.

Yes, it's a common problem on higher milage cars.

It's not too bad a job - I've just done both sides of mine for about £30 per side. No more oil smell.

£30 sounds better than £360. The car has done 95000 miles.
Hopefully have a look this weekend
