Anyone know of a guide to fitting new injectors - hopefully with pictures?

I'm going to be changing mine tonight :fingerscrossed: and was after all the info. so that I'm well prepared.

Any hints or pitfalls also welcomed...

Mine is a UK 97, so it's a phase one and I'll be fitting phase two injectors with Pavlo's kit - cheers mate :D

Spray the injector screw with WD40 or similar the day before to help with the undoing.

Remove anything you can to help with access the the areas, this includes water tank, removable pipework of any kind, tie wrap wires out of the way etc etc

De pressurise the rails first else you get a fountin of fuel, disconnect the fuel pump and run it dry.

Get a very long screw driver (the really long ones, about 2 ft long) so that you can get a good connection on the screw head. I managed to round off two heads by using a standard screw driver which caused much agro.

Under the metal cap once you have undone the two screws there is small rubber washer thingy, dont loose these cause they help to keep pressure on the injectors to hold them in place.

Make sure there is some silicone grease on the o-rings before you put them in, it will help them to slide in place.

Leave plenty of time to do the whole job, you do not want to be finishing it off with do daylight - it is a nightmare, espically when you drop a screw or washer you need! give yourself 3 hours to do all four, you may not need all of it but better to plan ahead (unlike me).

and dont, whatever you do!, overtighten the screws for the retainer cap as the cap can crack really easily!!
