Parts for Impreza are hard to come by in this cold little country... But: I can get my hands on a REMUS exhaust (back box only) and a K&N filter. My questions:
1. Will I notice any differnce? 2. Will I hear any differnce? 3. I haven't seen the Remus exhaust - does it look OK? Thx in advance! PS! The car is a 96 GT Turbo Wagon |
Morten,
The Remus backbox definitely breathes better than the OE exhaust. It is also quieter than standard. http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~gavinp/remus2.gif http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~gavinp/remus1.gif http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~gavinp/remus3.gif Thanks Gavin |
Hei Morten!
Hyggelig med flere norske Subarueiere her! More piccies: A bit cleaner as well http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif (No offense, Gavin - I just couldn't resist...) http://secret.lab6.com/uploaded_files/993065582.jpg http://secret.lab6.com/uploaded_files/993065622.jpg http://secret.lab6.com/uploaded_files/993065644.jpg http://secret.lab6.com/uploaded_files/993065677.jpg With backbox only, not at all noisy inside the car, only a bit deeper note, and far better http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif sound outside, without being too intrusive. Have dumped the middle cat as well, and still not worried about the noise. That's why I chose Remus in the first place. If you change your backbox and go for a K&N panel filter, you will notice a difference in pick-up and it will run easier all the way to the redline. If you fit a panel filter, remove the resonator as well (don't know if it's same arrangement on MY96 - mine's MY00.) More pics of the small pipe I made in place of the restrictive resonator: (It'll give you a nice pssshhht when lifting off as well http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif ) Send me an email if you want more pics or info on how to do.... Simen,
No problem - the photos are a bit dodgy - £35 digital camera and a dirty car! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif Thanks Gavin |
Thank you for the reply!
