I need some help in compiling a list of driver's/ performance cars from the 60's 70's 80's and 90's for a project at work! the only criteria is that they had to be production/ homogalation cars and not supercars or ragtops!

Thanx in advance

There was a special "Pull Out'n'keep " magazine in CAR a while ago done by the guys from Performance Cars (before they got bored and set up EVO). It listed and rated the top performance Cars of each decade

I seem to remmber it just covered the 70's, 80's and 90's. I'll dig it out and have a look.

Cheers Mark, that's the sort of stuff I'm after. I've got a basic list of cars - stuff like Clio williams, M3, Integrale EVO, Cosworths, Quattro's, R5 GT Turbo, R5 Turbo, and the like, but it's the 60's and 70's cult classics that are more difficult. Anything will be considered as long as it handled well and is/will be a classic. At the mo' that's all I need!....there must be plenty of opinions out there!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Squizz,

"...Some job!" you may be able to guess my job from my home username!?! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Grab a copy of Autocar and have a look at the past master section for some starters.

Some of the entries are debatable with some ommsions too. How a Fiat X19 gets in there when the amazing Fiat Strada Abarth 130TC ( I've had 2 so I know how good they were) got missed off is crazy.

I had two Abarth 130 TC as well, real beasts and sounded fantastic with the air box covers off.
