Hopefully will have sold the S2000 in the next week or two so need a 'bridge' car until I can find the Westfield that I want (there are few of them on the market at the mo and I wanna get the right one - 2.0L jobbie :) ).

So in between selling the Honda and finding me a westie, anyone got any suggestions for a car that's cheap, fun or luxurious (either will do), and most importantly, easy to sell in a few months when I've (hopefully) found me a Westie.

Had a Mk2 Golf gti 16v before so am possibly thinking of an 8v. Possibly a 205 1.9 but they're harder to find I guess.

If you're looking at a golf 8v , take a look at an Ibiza 2.0 8v 115bhp .. great little cars , i had one ,on a 16v now.

You'll always sell a MK2 16v mate!! I'd go for one of these, they are reliable enough as well... :)

How about the Carlton GSi thats on the For Sale Forum, for 400quid, it would be a RWD laugh for little outlay, and in fair comfort too!! :D

Cheers,
Grant

I know it will be called a hairdressers car, etc....

But what about a Mazda MX-5?

Rear wheel drive, cheap due the weather, sell for a profit in the summer! :)

Dracoro 15 January 2004 03:19 PM

Chris P1 - I saw that and was tempted! However, it's probably a bit overkill for what I want and a little more than I can really afford. Basically after a 2.0l pushing around 180/190 that's easy to maintain. Weekend use and some track work rather than an all out track monster ;) :D

Dracoro it sure is a monster thats for sure :) Sounds like you are doing the right thing as that Cosworth car did take a lot of looking after, sooooooooooo fast though :)A Zetec powered car would be as easy to run as any Ford i would think.
