I need a length (about 3 inches) of hose to hopefully fix a PAS leak. (A tempory 6 month measure while I plot and scheme my front entry turbo...)

Will fuel hose be OK and not get eaten away by the PAS fluid?

not im my opinion, too hot and high pressure.

If you can get some 100r6 hydralic hose that would be better.

Fuel hose will work though, just keep an eye on it, as I am sure david wallis will tell you

Hydraulic hose sould be quite easy to get... Hopefully stores will have some I can pinch <cough> acquire for legitimate work related activities... ;)

TBH the leak is so small that I could most likely live with it. I'd prefer not to though, as IMHO engines should keep their fluids on the inside. ;)

mine was only a tiny leak before it caught fire at totb.. (hose burst / ruptured during one run)

which side of the rack is it? high pressure or return..

return 'should' be ok, but hydraulic hose will cost fook all..

High pressure side forget it.. the hoses are tested to around 200 / 300 bar.

It's the 2 or 3 inches of black hose that goes into the bottle.
The fluid just creeps out of the pipe ends and makes a mess of the surrounding area. I'd prefer it not to do that.

Anyway, got the bits now, so all I can do is try it when I do the crank seal.

I changed the standard pinch and let go clips with screw clamps and this stopped my leak..

I took it all off and inspected the other weekend when I did the bottle nozzle oring and it all looked fine.. but I really should replace it soon too I guess..

When you fit the new one use decent clamps.

Bought them this lunch time :) Annoyed I can't get ones with an 8mm hex head on to match all the others though.

I'm slowly replacing all of the spring type clips.

Why do we use odd numbered head sizes and the Japanese use even numbers?

It seems to be 7mm on most of the clips I have bought for my fmic pipework.. ? no idea..
