to all those who have bought headers, either through group buy or otherwise (or have ported them):
* which ones did u get? * did u remap the ecu afterwards (if so did that make a difference too)? * did they give a noticable real-world performance difference? * have u put the car on the rollers.. if so, what's been the gains (if any)? * was it worth the money? just curious :) cheers! |
After a bit of research I've gone for Gruppe-s headers, due to cost effectivness. Will get them fitted soon, but hope to see torque improvements :)
My link ECU will be fitted next month, so the remap should bring the best out the headers. Sonu |
I ve got a set of powerstation headers - the way I thought it was if they are fitting them, they arnt going to make it hard for them selves so they must fit ok
hard to tell about performance I got 260bhp and 270lbs on powerstations roller ( with sports cat\decat and a ecu tec)powerstation rollers read lower than most but you don't see many bugeyes with more lbs than bhp ;) |
Torque sounds excellent at PS from such a basic spec!!!

thanks guys :)
any more? |
MY94 UK Turbo, Full decat, Blitz induction, Boost controller, Uprated fuel pump, Prodrive Ecu & Gruppe-s headers & up pipe.
R&R @ John Nobles prior to headers 275.5 Bhp & 269.8 Torque Next R&R at Nobles on the 24th of this Month, Defo feels like it is pulling harder (Butt Dyno) & hangs on to the power until i hit the Rev limiter, Will post the results afterwards , hopefully good ones Dean :D Next plan, Front mount & then a Link Ecu (plus injectors maybe!!)
