MY 95 WRX USES OIL. IT CAN CONSUME 3/4 OF A LITRE ON A 200 MILE RUN. IT DOES NOT SMOKE FROM THE EXHAUST AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY LEAKS.
WHAT ARE THE REASONS FOR AN IMPREZA USING OIL.
CAN SOMEONE WITH KNOWLEDGE PUT A TOP FIVE ON THIS THREAD. I HAVE HEARD IT IS A COMMON THING WITH IMPREZA'S. IS THIS TRUE AND WHY?

Mine (same car as yours) doesn't use any oil between services.
Are there any obvious leaks under the engine bay?

i ve put in a litre between the last two services in my02 wrx which i thought was a bit worrying

Rings or glazed bores.
Shouldnt be using that much oil.
