Will 225 45 VR17 tyres fit a MY01 wheel on a classic MY98 Turbo?

I have been offered them at a price that would be stupid to refuse. Anyone see any problems etc ?

yes the tyres wil fit the wheel, but they *may* rub your arches.
Some have said they fitted them ok, but most have tried and gone back to 215/40x17

i have just fitted 17's with 225/45/17's on a classic sti4 type r and i had to put 3mm wheel spacers on the backs to keep the tyres off my shocks and have all my arches rolled to stop them rubbing.

Run them myself. Had to get arches rolled thou

As my car is already lowered I will knock the offer on the head but if anyone is interested in the tyres let me know (as long as you come and pick them up) They are sets of 4 Bridgestone and Michelen Pilots.
