Is their any specific order for bleeding the brakes on a MY00?
All help much appreciated.

This should help.

Basically the brake system is split in two - passenger rear, driver front & driver rear, passenger front.

The way I was told was:-

N/S Rear
O/S Front
O/S Rear
N/S Front

Basically the same as the Ravensblade doc.

Does the ABS need to be de-powered during bleeding. I heard some systems require the battery to be dis-connected to prevent it from trying to cut in.

That's a new one on me, but then again I'm no spanner head.

Certainly the ABS on my MY99 wasn't touched when my brakes were bled.

Don't think the ABS actually works unless the key is in the ignition and turned to switch on all the electrics.
