I am thinking about getting some 17" BK 121 Alloys for my blue classic shape Scooby.
Anyone have any opinions or thoughts (or even better -pics)? This will be my first "mod" so want to get it right. |
Have u looked at the bk299 these are nice alloys in the hyper black finish

I know its your choice but if I were you I would go for the 18"s instead with 215-35/18 tyres. This is what I did on mine (MY00) with BK238's. I got them from Wheelbase near Oldham, Manchester for a very good price. It was a choice of either 17"s or 18"s. I think I made the right choice even though the 18"s are starting to look a little bit small now. The handling is just as good and ride quality is almost the same as standard. Just be careful of the chrome or black chrome versions as i've heard that the chroming on these does not last very well on British salt covered roads, even the demo wheel I saw in Demon Tweeks had the chrome chipping of it and that was attached to the wall!!!
Just my opinion;) Mike:D:D:D |
Go for the 18's. Ive seen them on black saloon & silver estate, both filled the arches well. not a bad price too.
Get your tooth brush ready to clean in between them spokes.lol |
Nice wheels cousin has 238s, sexy things grrr,

Very nice Cat.
Thanks for your replies - the reason i ask about 17" BK 121 Alloys is that i have seen a second hand set that I might be able to afford. They weren't the wheels i really wanted, but i think they could do a good job. Alloys (esp 18") seem very hard to find for the Scooby -unless you buy new that is. |
oh right thought you were after a new pair, happy shopping
|
Thanks.
Are those 18's? The whole car looks very tidy - nice job- very impressed. ;) |
yes there 18"s cost £900 with the tyres 215/35/18 spray on tyre
|
What did you have before? I am currently running factory 16's.
Would like to jump to 18's but issues over price and whether they'd affect the handling. |
