Any one have any opinion / experiences of Dunlop SP9000 tyres?
been offered these & currently runnibg on PZero Neros. cheers Simon |
Horrible tyres!
Too hard, poor grip in the wet, poor grip in the dry! I had a set that lasted for 26,000 miles and it was only down to 4mm at the rear, but the fronts were down to 2mm. Changed them for Bridgeston SO2's at the time and the levels of grip were much better, even though they weren't scrubbed in!!! This was about 3 years ago, so I hope they have changed the compound since!! |
Thanks Andy
I thought as much, problem with maint contract trying to fit tyres to suit them. 1 quick call this am today and Pzero neros agreed. Lady most helpful today and even said that she understood certain tyres suit certain cars :) cheers simon |
Phew!! I'm not a fan of the PZeros, but out of those two you made the right decision! :D

I have SP9090's on my company Golf GTi Diesel! Very good grip in both the dry, average in the wet. Tyre walls are very soft though and the slightest glance on a curb, even at parking speeds seems to chop big chunks out of the side walls. Expensive as they are, this means that I would never buy myself.
If I was buying, I would stick with something I know like the S03's and GSD3's that I have now on my Scoob. Simon |
