I had to remove my STI sports muffler and replace it with the twin pea shooter for TUV-time.
When I had it off, I noticed that there was quite some amount of water inside. (sounded the same when you take a bottle of water and shake it). I think the water comes from the washing I had just 2 day before, since I only drove about 8-10 km afterwards, not enough for the backbox to get hot enough?? Anyway, can ther be damage to the backbox if water stays inside for a few days, or is it ok? Just worried that the backbox might rust from inside out.... Tks, Ramon |
they get water in all the time from condensation, dont worry about it if its just short term storage. They all rust away eventually if mild steel, i doubt this will alter that rate.

jon,
thanks for the reply. I was just surprised about the amount of water inside. As I said this was probably because I washed the car and did not drive it hot enough for the water to get out. Err, yes i confess I clean my backbox too.... even wax it sometimes... |
I can understand that, there isnt much else to do in Luxembourg, i know, i went there once by mistake. :D;)

when you think there's nothing to do, you should never ever come here during Christmas time.
How could you possibly end up HERE by mistake?? |
He meant to go to Liechtenstein, but dyslexia got in the way... ;)

Took a wrong turning on my way home from the nurburgring. :o

Well, whenever you make a wrong turn again, let me know, after all it is not THAT bad (at least when it is NOT Christmas season).
