Whilst out searching for my new motor,Nipped to carcroft at the airport in sheffield
Now these guys are selling 53 plate stis for £22995(good price i feel)
But while having a nosey round i come across Three imprezas.
1,T reg impreza turbo 43000 miles £13995
2, R reg wagon turbo 56000 miles £12995
3, P reg wagon GL 60000 miles £8995
What in the world are these prices all about,Now either im selling my car at a stupidly low price (£8000 V reg) or carcroft have totally lost the plot,But to top it off a nice young couple were taking the t reg wagon for a test drive(£13995) and seemed really keen to buy it,has everyone gone mad or is it just me!

I would be careful buying from any Carcroft place. I've been to the one at sheffield a couple of years ago now and like you was astonished at the prices of the cars. But be very creful of where the new cars are sourced from - possible Cyprus - Non EU country - miminal warrenty etc.
2nd hand prices tend to be high as they offer finance to people that normally cant get finance through normal channels etc.
These type of dealers often offer £1K mimimum part enchange for your £50 failed MOT banner, so how do you think they recoup this money - by adding £1 -2 K on the price of the car !
ps did you manage to walk out of the door without been accosted by a different sales person asking why not bought anything !

carcraft! ;)

last summer decided to test drive scooby (bad mistake, bad idea 'cause immediatelly had to buy one). anyway, they let me drive V reg 12995. loved the car to bits. when wanted to walk away the sales man was offering 1K for my 10 year old Golf and 2K off the asking price! Still walked away and bought the car privately for 4K less.

IMHO they really overcharge.

but that's not the end of the story - 4 months later knackered my engine, although this could have happened to any car as mine was 1 owner, FSSH.
