Was it you?

I'm just intrigued... what's the story behind this pre-98 52-plate?
The plate didn't seem distinctive enough to have been bought as a personalised one. :) |
Didn't realise you got the current reg if you re-register. Can I have a 53 on mine? :D
|
That's just it... I don't know if you do, but those are the only reasonable explanations I can think of at the moment. Apart from wearing falsies, while waiting to do a bank job (can you hear me TelBoy?) ;). For which, let's face it, the scoob is the car of choice ;)

You can't have a plate newer than the plate at the time it was registered. I guess this is one that has sat around unregistered for a long time. It does happen - there's a very few Capris out there on E prefixes!
|
If it's just been imported- JDM, say, would that be a new plate?
|
No.
You get the registration letter of its year of registration/manufacture in Japan. So my car imported this year has a letter M registration as that was the year of first registration in Japan and the "declared manufactured" year on the V5 is 1995. |
The plot thickens.....
|
Could be either someones ploy to fool others, ilegally.
or, a car that sat in store for a good few years, or, a car that was built from all new parts inc shell, the declared new at registration. wierd either way! |
