Driving back from the outlaws I witnessed a truly British Scene.
A group of Fox Hunters on a brisk Boxing Day, enjoying themselves and clearing the country of vermin. Makes you proud to have been born in this green and pleasant land.
Thankfully this will never be banned.

clarky1982 26 December 2003 06:53 PM

beamer 26 December 2003 06:54 PM

beamer 26 December 2003 07:00 PM

Running away very quickly:eek:

Luke 26 December 2003 07:16 PM

Good..I hope the hounds catch them and rip the things to shreds.

This country only get worried about animals..... lets look after the children and old age pensioners first. never mind mr Fox.

tiggers 26 December 2003 07:23 PM

starstruck,

Savour the vision as it will probably be the last time you see it :D

starstruck 26 December 2003 07:25 PM

Tiggers,

Thanks, I'll savour it 'till next Boxing Day. TB will never ban this majestic spectacle, thankfuly

Corgi 26 December 2003 07:26 PM

BEW 26 December 2003 07:53 PM

FPMSL @ a username Corgi calling for bringing back dog fighting! :D

Merry Chrimbo your Majesty! ;)

scoobynutta555 26 December 2003 08:07 PM

Let them have the fox hunting, theres far worse going on in this country, not even mentioning the world.

As mentioned above, several thousand pensioners will die this winter due to heating issues. Maybe they should all be supplied with fox furs ;)

wrxsmo 26 December 2003 08:19 PM

Feck the foxes, I'd rather hunt the riders & horses with 300hp & 4wd ;)

mart360 26 December 2003 08:20 PM

If rabies ever got to us,, all vermin as per the last time would have to be slaughtered,

as mr foxy woxy is also a member of this club he would be subjected to a no holds barred culling....

its your choice......... cute mr foxy woxy or rabies....

foxes dont kill humanly and they also kill indisriminatly...

It amazes me how we hold the lives of animals in esteem and human life is treated like crap...

save the badgers,,,save the wales,,,save the foxes,,

save the pensioners???? ( oh yeah !!! get rid of british gas!!!)

LOL

go go go :D

wrxsmo 26 December 2003 08:24 PM

Damn right............ straight thru 'em to a '4 right over crest'

M J B 26 December 2003 08:36 PM

wrxsmo, i think it would be 5 right over crest?

wrxsmo 26 December 2003 08:45 PM

Hehe I guess that depends on how many gears you got ;)

Katana 26 December 2003 08:58 PM

I find it really ironic that people are more worried about animals rather than children being blown up by our bombs directly or indirectly. To me animals are meant for food and thats just about it. Grow up PETA people..

Chip 27 December 2003 09:41 AM

Yeah, it seems to be OK for Blair to bomb innocent's in Iraq and Afghanistan but dont you dare touch that little fox.

Chip.

Scooby96 27 December 2003 09:49 AM

Flawed arguments as usual

Chip 27 December 2003 10:12 AM

More a case of priorities.

Chip.

GarethE 27 December 2003 10:15 AM

Should be allowed to continue so long as the dogs are kept on their leads ;)

GarethE 27 December 2003 10:18 AM

Quote - "save the badgers,,,save the wales,,,save the foxes,"

Cheers Mart - any donations to the Save wales fund can be sent to me ;) :D

alcazar 27 December 2003 12:20 PM

I have to admit that I fail to see the "rabies" link.

Ther is rabies, and there are foxes on the continent of Europe, but they don't panic about it like we do.
Nor are all their dogs rabid, just innoculated.

johnfelstead 27 December 2003 12:26 PM

how many foxes are killed by the hunt each year?

Jye 27 December 2003 12:30 PM

--foxes dont kill humanly and they also kill indisriminatly...--

And we 'higher up the food chain' humans are any different?

Jye 27 December 2003 12:31 PM

I feel this is going to be yet another boring, tedious, hurry up and lock it SN thread.

ProperCharlie 27 December 2003 12:34 PM

jf - the number of foxes killed by hunting is insignificant - a few hundred in the uk per year, IIRC. The argument that it is a good way of controliing the fox population is well known to be false. i don't agree with hunting personally, but i also don't agree with it being banned. i think people should have the liberty to hunt if they want to. particularly when i get woken up by the foxes larking about in my back garden

Jye 27 December 2003 12:36 PM

Invite the hunt into the yard then Charlie ;)

Chip 27 December 2003 12:37 PM

how many foxes are killed by the hunt each year?
Apparently less than what are killed on the M1 so they say.

Chip.
