Not a big fan of Robbie Williams, but whilst at some relatives on Christmas Eve I watched his 'Live from the Albert' DVD featuring the songs from his 'Rat Pack' covers album 'Swing when you're winning'.

I have seen many posts on here alluding to him being talentless and I would suggest all those that think that watch this DVD just once. Yes you may not like his public persona, attitude etc., but talentless he is not!

I haven't enjoyed a music DVD as much for a very long time - excellent stuff.

The bloke has the ability to perform a song live almost as good as a track of one off his albums - he is also an entertainer who can capture an audience almost as good as Freddie Mercury could :)

Comes from where I was born, unfortunately a Vale supporter, I guess someone has to support them. ;)

I didnt like him for ages especially when he was in that boy band. However, despite the lairy appearances on TV and the dodgy activities he does, I have grown to appreciate his performances. I am not a huge fan, but I do admittedly listen to his music. :cool:

He is a big hit down under thats for sure. His recent tour was a sell out and the album from it is a top seller.

I wouldn't say he is without talent. Yes he can sing, yes he can entertain.
People don't like him because;
1) He lacks originality.
2) He has only got to where he is by incredible marketing.
3) He's considerably wealthier than people who are more deserving
4) He is a bit of a ****.
