Hi I have an STi 4 type R
Im having a problem with the above in which its making a loud knocking sound from the solanoid itself, im also having a slight boost problem.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, if so how did you fix it??
Also is the solanoid from a Type R the same as a normal uk turbo's

Dunno if its the same as uk if its 2 port it should be the same as uk 2 port. Its a common problem this oil being sucked up into the breather system and collecting the boost solenoid. Get some engine parts cleaner from halfords take the tubes off the solenoid and put the ECU into test modes so its constantly actuating it and then squirt the cleaner through for a few seconds. Try not to get it in yer eye like I did at first :)
