What DP is the best with the Super Drager system?
I have ordered a scoobysport 3", but when i try to tjek the inner diameter in the exhaust where it meets with the DP it's more like a 2,5" (68mm). So should I order a 2,5 og a 3" DP? Thanks i advance Rasmus |
I had a Super Drager, & it was most definately a 3" system.
They might have changed the design, of course, although it seems a strange direction to change the design in :) |
Thanks nom
It just seems strange. Looks like a 68mm/2,5" where the DP meets the center piece?? |
i have a HKS super drager and its 3" for sure, you will need the HKS gaskets if you want to mate it up with another downpipe, why not just buy the matching HKS downpipe as they are cheaper and thicker than others on the market and it matches the system exactly. just a thought ;)

The reason is that the HKS dp is not an openneck.
I had a HKS dp and just sold it to go for a openneck type instead :) |
I have a superdrager (which is 75mm pipe = 3 inch) with H+S 2.5 inch downpipe.
No fitting problems. Phone Hayward and Scott and I'm sure they will send you the right part. I would suggest using heat wrap on the upper part of the downpipe as mine got 'hot' and managed to damage the speedo cable which was close by. Now I can touch the downpipe when the car has had a good thrashing!! |
Why do you use a 2,5" DP with the 3" Super Drager system?
|
Scoobsport only seem to sell the open neck downpipe that tapers to 2.5 inches however there is another version that is 3 inch at the bottom that is specifically made to mate with the HKS exhausts, if you can't get one from your original source in exchange then contact us as we always have stock.

A Invidia DP also has a bellmouth and is completely 3".
