Does anyone know if BMW will do a 330d sport version of the 3 series coupe, all i can find is the 320d, even tho they do do a 330d in the 4dr and touring.

Also has anyone ever chipped the 320d engine, and what kind of outputs can you get.

Yes I believe BMW do make a 2 door 330 d sport.I'm not sure wether it is out in the UK yet. I am unsure of the power outputs of a chipped 320d.

The 330d sport coupe is apparently coming out early next year. Not sure why its taking so long.

My mate had the 4-door sport version and although i really dont like diesels, I am really impressed with his. I have driven it quite a few times and can't get over the smoothness of the engine and its torque. Its doesn't even sound much like a horrible oil burner either :)

When we were test driving the 330d we also tried the 320d. It's not bad for what it is, but as soon as you get in the 330d there's no turning back (although the price is quite sobering).

At the time we also tried the Audi A4 quat 2.5tdi and the Volvo s60 sport diesel (dont remember the exact model name) and although they were all capable machines, the 330d was just amazing.

I agree with you, the 330d doesn't really sound like a deisel. Does anyone know if the 330d or 320d are still a straight six.

I havnt driven one yet, but i am just looking at my options for a new car maybe a year down the road, and after driving a scooby, i still want some performance from a car.

Reason i am asking about a chipped 320d, is because there is alot of talk about chipping the VW TDi engines, and the results are pretty amazing, but then again i have read a few posts on here about BMW turbo's getting knackered pretty quickly.

The 330d is a straight six,
The 320d is a four.

Keep the car in warranty and you will have no worries at all.
