What's the difference between the Barbarians and the All Blacks?
UB:confused: |
If I'm not mistaken the Barbarians "Bar-bars" are an invitational team and not a national squad, other countries have their own versions
|
The All Blacks are the full strength New Zealand team, the new Zealand Barbarians are an invitation team of New Zealanders made up of e.g. new zealanders playing in England and elsewhere. The England team don't get official caps for a game like this. The Barbarians will be nowhere near as strong as the All Blacks.

Yep Barbarians are a guest team not an international side. Could be any mix. Generally expected that both sides will play an open game to make it more fun for spectators although how they are going to do that with today's weather is another question.... Looking forward to it :D

All Barbarians are from scotland.

Ok, thanks. So, in theory a bit of a stroll in the park then.

Good to see Richard Hill captaining England, no longer the unsung hero.:D
The kid singing the national anthem was good, should have learnt the words though. |
Agree about the sprog...makes a nice change to have the anthem sung at a decent tempo rather than the usual dirge-like speed....however as it's England it should be something other than GSTQ... Land of Hope & Glory, or Jerusalem would be good...I'd leave GSTQ to British Teams

one of these are the all blacks. And one is a barbarian!!
