Murderdolls - Dead in Hollywood :)

The Darkness - utter commercial over-played idiots :(

gone off them big time now

Muffleman 20 December 2003 11:30 AM

HIM and Muse are two VERY VERY good albums ;)

Audioslave is ok, I got bored of this one a bit too quick really.

Glenn_R 20 December 2003 02:37 PM

Crank it up and drive too fast:D

Funkii Munkii 20 December 2003 02:45 PM

Janes Addiction - Strays
Muse - Absolution

Agree with the comments on the Darkness, totally played to death on Xfm had more than enough, a novelty group who's novelty has worn off!

davedipster 20 December 2003 03:27 PM

Queen's of the Stone Age, utterly amazing.

Dipster.

Houlbt 20 December 2003 03:29 PM

dba 20 December 2003 05:32 PM

Kings Of Leon

STi-Frenchie 20 December 2003 05:56 PM

A couple of good suggestions there - just to clarify, I have the Darkness, Audioslave and HIM albums so I was looking for more "goodies"

Kings of Leon I've heard good things about

QOTSA I'm not sure about - bought their first and only played it half a dozen times before I got bored with it

Rob Zombie is prolly a good choice

Jet I've not heard of so will check it out

Still like the Darkness, guess the French/Swiss haven't picked up on them enough yet to play them to overkill (don't think much of the Xmas single though, but like the album).

What's the take on the White Stripes "Elephant" album? The videos I've seen are okay...

matt85 20 December 2003 07:38 PM

Youth and Young Manhood is the best for me but i guess it what your into really

rik-1 20 December 2003 08:42 PM

1. Evanescence - Fallen
2. Nickelback - The Long Road

Hobo_Jojo 20 December 2003 08:48 PM

nicklebacks album is a bit of a let down so not that,(there ealier stuff was much better)
evanescence album is a good one
as is the HIM album

did the tenacious d album come out this year?

Marky-San 20 December 2003 08:49 PM

Linkin Park - Meteora

skoosh 20 December 2003 09:11 PM

Only 1 possible choice:

RUSH IN RIO.

Rush, live and at their very best.

It's in my xmas stocking on DVD.

Get it and enjoy.

Skoosh.

chrisowe 20 December 2003 09:53 PM

Evanescence ? Anyone heard their latest single, utter drivel. The Darkness or Kings of Leon would get my vote.

Steve A 20 December 2003 10:15 PM

Wasn't Audioslave a 2002 release

STi-Frenchie 21 December 2003 09:18 AM

Good point Steve A,, I thought it came out been very early 2003? Copyright on the CD sez 2002.

STi-Frenchie 21 December 2003 09:19 AM

As for Nickleback, I think I've gone off them a bit, all the songs seem to sound the same? Yeah, I know, same singer but still...

drumsterphil 21 December 2003 09:42 AM

AFI - 'Sing The Sorrow'
Type O Negative - 'Life is Killing Me'
Sevendust - 'Seasons'

Nobody mentioned Metallica 'St Anger' yet?! Now, there's a suprise!;)

IMO, The Darkness is utter tripe and Nickleback have only one sound. Evanescence was let down by songs that only had one tempo, moments of genius for sure but more variation needed on the next release.

Cheers
Drumster

JockyTT 21 December 2003 09:58 AM

Another Kings of Leon Vote.

or The Strokes....

STi-Frenchie 21 December 2003 03:00 PM

St. Anger ? Bought it, played maybe 8 tracks, took it off again and have only played the first two tracks anytime since.

Type O Negative, have all their albums and the last one was a real dissappointment so wouldn't get my vote - bring back the sound and attitude they had on Bloody Kisses !
