Fabulous :)

Gutted I threw all my old figures away in the 80's (esecially as they'd be worth something now :()

Not sure how to do it on a PC, but on a Mac start the movie playing, then "ctrl click" on it and select "save as a quicktime movie".

mj 19 December 2003 12:12 PM

ok, on a PC...

There is something set on the webpage that prevents downloads...

watch both the clips in full.

then go to tools - internet options.

in the general tab, click settings of "temporary internet files"

click view files, this puts you in the temporary internet files folder.

right click on a blank part of the screen and " arrange by name"

now scroll down the list till you find anh_pt1.mov' and anh_pt2.mov' , you will noyice they are both quicktime files.

copy these and paste into my docs or something.

easy eh ?

Cheers :)

oh those star wars memories !!!!!!!

Anyone else find they had more Jedi figues than empirial ones.

My evil empire comprised of Darth Vader, a stormtrooper and Boba Fet. And your parents just wouldn't buy you anymore stormtroopers. 'Look, i need atleast 1000 stormtroopers for Christmas' - 'No you've got one, thats enough'

j.r-xrs 20 December 2003 05:41 PM

I think that's the first time I've ever watched a Star Wars film the whole way thru.

Good effort:)

sammyh 20 December 2003 06:17 PM

cool: wish my mother had kept all my stuff :(

*Sonic* 20 December 2003 06:57 PM

Me & my bro kept all ours

he only needs one figure to complete his collection, currently valued at thousands for all figures :)

Part 1

Part 2

mj 20 December 2003 07:08 PM

ajm, clever boy ( read SMARTARSE ) - :D

so is this ','400','250','10','10') what prevents the download directly from the site then?

ajm 20 December 2003 08:02 PM

No, they are arguments passed to a javascript routine that opens a window with those dimensions, the video is then embedded in that window. If you look at the source for the small window it gives the file name and the properties gives the full path! :D

Scooby Drew 21 December 2003 09:23 AM

Those clips are brilliant:cool::cool:

As you can see, I'm a bit of a Star Wars fan:p

Felix. 21 December 2003 02:36 PM

Nice collection Drew

But it proves my point - 25 Jedi figures & 9 Empirial ones (others being Bounty hunters etc)

Can't recall the 'bottle of Jack D' being in the film????

Krade 21 December 2003 02:47 PM

Nice collection drew and 70's toys at that.
Sadly enough I am a real SW geek aswell,
Over 100's of novels reference books & comics, my Model collection is all the 90's/00 stuff most of my 70's got blown up with fireworks & hairspray flame throwers or sunk in the river. :(

Scooby Drew 21 December 2003 03:39 PM

Cheers for the comments guys:)

CW42 - they are not for sale, that's my pension:D:D:D:D

Felix - :p:p:p:p

Krade - yep, all 77-84 originals, grade 9+ so all collectors pieces;)

I still think it was great that Jabba came complete with bong:cool:
