We'll be visiting the outlaws in Manchester on Sunday and we thus will have babysitters :) :). Can anybody recommend somewhere nice to go for lunch around South Manchester / Cheshire?
The place needs to cook its own food (as opposed to warmimg stuff it microwaves :p). I was wondering about the Bells of Peover, but other recommendations would be appreciated. Nice roads in the vicinity would also be welcomed :) |
There's a new KFC drive thru in Runcorn

Nigel,
Bells of Peover highly recommended. Also the Roebuck at Mobberley, and the Egerton Arms at Chelford. Can't help on the roads as they tend to be clogged up with coffin-dodgers at the weekend :) Cheers, Gareth |
I've had some good meals at The Stanley Arms.
It's in the Peak District National park and is just off the famous Cat and Fiddle road (A537). Loads of good roads around Macclesfield Forest but could be full of cyclists, walkers, etc. Doug |
Try the Wizard at Alderley Edge or the Belfry Hotel Handforth, both superb.

Go to the restuarant section and type in a location, find your closest starred place and hand your wallet over...job done. Chuck |
If you're heading into town visit Wagamama in the printworks in town centre. I used to be a chef there and can safely say you'll never find a better noodle this side of Japan.

The Steak & Kebab, aka The Didsbury Village Restaurant just outside Didsbury village is very good.
Otherwise, you can't beat Rusholme for a curry, especially at 4 O'clock in the morning! |
Cheers Gareth
We went to the Roebuck today. Very good it was too :) |
