I want to continue to use my old skool BT Cellnet Genie (now O2 online) sim from my trusty 2 year old Siemens C45 in a new, less battered, phone.
I think any phone on the market will do what I want, the longer texts and faster wap being the only things my C45 doesn't offer that I'd like. I'd like a decent battery life too. I think I'd like another Siemens as they seem bulletproof and I like the interface, it'd take a lot of persuading to get me to buy a Nokia - I'm not a fan. So, are these options any good? Siemens MC60 on TMobile PAYG. £99 from The Link and £10 cashback for trade in. Presumably it'd need unlocking for use with my sim. Camera would be fun in the pub I suppose, got a proper digi cam though so it's not too much of a concern. Siemens S55. Carphonewarehouse had these reconditioned and sim free for £99, but have sold out. Unlocked ones seem to go for around the £100 mark on Ebay, a bit less if second hand. I'm a bit wary of buying a nicked phone though. Sony Ericsson T68i. Reconditioned for £99 from The Link. Siemens C60. Seems to have been taken off most of the big shops' websites. Think it was about £70 on O2 though. Any ideas/recommendations folks? Are they likely to be cheaper after Christmas, or does so much competition mean that isn't a factor. Cheers, Ben :) [Edited by scoobyster - 12/18/2003 4:53:41 PM] |
I've not used Siemens but I reckon the T68i is a cracking little phone for what they are going for now.
If you're not adverse to Ebay, you can pick up a bargain there. I just bought one, brand new for £70. It arrived today and has only been switched on to unlock it. |
don't but a siemens sl 55. waste of time

my wife has an sl55...cool little phone, nothing wrong with it

Thanks for the input.
I was thinking of S55 not SL55, that's a bit flash for me ;) |
Your right about buying from Ebay. I bought a Moto 18 months ago and the IMEI numbers on the box, the label on the phone and stored in the EEPROM were all different.
