OK, I'm a bit stuck for what to get the son this year.
Price range vaguely 50 quid if it's pure leisure, maybe 100 if it encourages something or is useful (long-termers might remember he's a bit of a lazy screen addict). Earlier presents, most recent first, were Mountainbike (stupidly expensive, but bearable) Telescope G-shock watch I know he wants disc brakes for the bike, but I think he wants them to boast to everyone else he's got them, rather than because he needs them. I might consider a pair of hubs with the right mountings, he hasn't even realised he needs them first... He's got a mobile phone and discman. Wants a Creative Zen MP3 player this week (will probably have forgotten it in a month). Also considering a pass for him to go to the cinema, esp if it saves me money on tickets each week ;) Oh btw, for those who contributed to the Which Footwear saga - we agreed on a pair of Timberlands, which he's very happy with. Said he turned up at a party and his mates were dressed up as Snoop Dogg with no-name high-fashion footwear and started dissing his. He replied that he was wearing quality stuff with a reputation, unlike their cheap market-stall crap. They shut up :D Any ideas? (Video games are out, sorry!) Brendan (killjoy parent as ever) |
