Has anyone got this alarm? I'm thinking of getting it with microwave dual zone proximity sensors? Any thoughts? Is it good or bad? And any decent installers in or near Greater Manchester?

Hi mate, got this system on my wagon. It sems a good system except for the anti-hijack kicks in too early for me, especially on cold mornings when you want to get out of car and scrape windows wothout opening the bloody drivers window in case the car locks itself.

Bloody good range of optional extras as well.

Can recommend a good fitter in Stoke. (they did mine ).

Skoosh.

Hiya 22b-sti just to let you know if you dont require a cat 1 in clifford g4 then try the g5 intelliguard 850 cracking piece of kit,and dont let some of the slagging off of clifford product by a small minority put you off, some of these guys have an ulterior motive for doing this other than a genuine fault. If we could get all the people who are happy with clifford to post in then you would see it is the alarm to buy, just be careful who you choose to install it because 99% of the problems are created by poor installation not product fault.

Cheers dave i need a cat 1 for insurance and was originally thinking of one of the g5 cliffords, i might still get one if they r gonna get thatcham approval soon, im gonna contact clifford to ask which alarms they will submit to thatcham for approval. otherwise its the toad or concept 300 with dual zone proximity sensors. I dont really want to spend more than £400

Had 3 Toad systems fitted to different cars...the Toad kits are great for the cash - £250 fitted - as it's a modular system you can add extras on if you like.

I understand other more expenisive options are available from other co's like Clifford I cannot coment on those but for - £250 with a CAT1 cert was good enough for me.

Cheers

If YOU FIT A AI606 THE DUEL ZONE PROXY WILL INVALIDATE THE CAT 1 STATUS AS IT WAS NOT TESTED WHEN THE 606 WAS EVALUATED YOU NEED THE TOAD 845 MICROWAVE THIS IS APPROVED, ALSO IF THE ALARM IS FITTED THE ANTI-HYJACK FEATURE WILL NOT ACTIVATE IF THE DOOR IS OPEN WHEN THE IGN IS TURNED ON OR OPENED AFTER THE IGN IS TURNED ON THEY HAVE THUOUGHT OF EVERY THING LIKE THAT SO YOU DONT LOCK YOUR KEYS IN BUT THIS DOES RELY ON IT BEING CONNECTED TO THE DOOR SWITCHS CORRECTLY.
