Philips Vision Plus 50% brighter.
About £20 a pair with free sidelights to match from Autolamps-online, or Powerbulbs.

Yep, Philips Vision Plus are the way to go - noticeable difference, not too expensive, plus free sidelights (which are actually white instead of the dirty yellow standards).

Got mine from Powerbulbs, next day delivery.

I uprated the wiring and fitted a relay in an attempt to get the best possible lighting for long distance cross country work in the winter on two different vehicles.
Bulbs tried included two expensive offerings from PIAA,illegal 130/90Ws and both Osram and Philips + 50s which were good but now I have settled on GE + 60%.So there was no need to go to the trouble of uprating the wiring loom.
My bulbs came from Andy Batters, Mac's Garage, Ilkley, next day post and under £20.00
