my uk300 had a faulty egt probe (exhaust gas temperature).
I took it to subaru who fitted a new probe.
when i dropped it off for repair it was running fine.......when i picked it back up it was running like a bag of bolts!
on acceleration its like it has no boost. it holds back and is very jerky,a small lift on the accelerator pedal and it throws me towards the window??? i turned back to the garage and told them, they looked at it and said"select monitor says its fine, bring it in tommorrow and well have a good look at it.
would the probe cause any problems or is it a seperate fault? its just funny that it was running perfect before they touched it?
any ideas as too what may be at fault will be greatly appreciated.
sorry for goin on but subaru technicians at my dealer know nothing!
cheers
jimmy

Perhaps after they fitted the sensor, they failed to "clear" the ECU memories [there are two- not one]. Could be still reading a "memorised" fault code and adjusting engine mapping accordingly.
