Hello All

Had my 93 WRX a month now and need tyres all round allready :)

What it fitted at mo is 205/40/17 zr falcons

I have been looking at toyos or f1's, and F1's I am told are a better tyres in the wet so I think I will go for them

The current tyres have been stretched on the rim so I will be needed to go to 215 or maybe 225?

Also my speedo is slightly mis-reading (speedo reads 60 mph but doing about 55 really), i have been told its because I am running 40's whereas 45's should be fitted is this correct???

Also what will I gain/loose from going to a 45 from 40 profile..
I know it should give me a better ride, will I loose grip performance?

Any in-depth answers/advice will be so helpful chaps

Cheers

Get 215/40/17 for two simple reasons
1 - cheaper than 205/45
2 - F1's don't come in 205/45

:D

Ok Guys

Been told that I need 215/40/17 as 205's fitted are stretched, new this allready....

Regarding running speed out of sync, a 215/40 has a higher profile than a 205/40 as the 40 means 40% of tyre width (tread) so 40% of 215 is bigger than 205.

I can get 215/40/17Z F1's GDS3's fitted for 100.00 inc each, is this a good price.

Cheers

Rob

BTW

Have just had Bump steer mod and 4 wheels aligned... Now just need new tyres

Loads of drifting at mo, will miss it :)

But will enjoy more grip too :O)
