Is there an easy way to get over radio mast jamming problems, rather than pushing the car further away? Like holding the key fob somewhere closer to the sensor / aerial. My wife suggested bacofoil, but I think she's xmas crazy.
Had to push my wrx 2001 about 200 yards and almost died trying, can't face another jamming problem. I know I can get a dealer upgrade but can't be bothered yet, looking at another new wrx on motorpoint (the 4th!). PS: Toys r Us / Mcdonalds car park Basingstoke best to avoid - averaging 2 Scoobys a week! Take a look up at the new mast 50 feet from the car park and 100 feet higher. |
I assume the key pad disable didn't work?
I found that put the key in the ignition and let the fob dangle then try it, worked when nowhere outside would |
Hi,
apparently (according to a Sigma dealer) when I was in the same fix ! : Take out the keyboard in the change tray and line up the IR 'eye' in the Sigma control with the two holes / IR receiver in the bottom of the keypad and this will disable the alarm - this will negate the need for the bypass code. I tried it but couldn't see the IR eye on the SIgma keyfob !! Jai |
that wont work because they no longer have a ir eye that was only fitted to the sg30 alarms with verison 8 software and all sigma alarms are m30 without ir eyes due to the keypad being totaly different

I have just had my Sigma ECU changed to overcome the problems I have been having on my MY01 (remote keys stopped working outside my house about 8 weeks ago - no problem up until then). The dealer who carried out the work told me that a lady who lives next to a police station started having problems, which were overcome with the same fix. I have contacted the company installing the Tetra masts (for there seems to be a common consensus that these cause problems) and find there is one about 500 meters from my home, but they are very reluctant to tell me more!
