A mate of mine has asked me to fit an A pillar pod to his car for him.It looks straight forward enough but how do you run the cables and piping from the bottom of the A pillar into the engine bay?

Has nobody done this?

What MY of car is it ?
I did my UK 99 by removing the lower part of the dash (under the steering wheel) then pushed a piece of coat hanger down between the top of the dash and the A pillar. I then connected the boost pipe and electrical wires to the coat hanger then pulled the wires/ pipe back up.
In the engine bay there is a rubber grommet behind the zorst heat shield (just under the brake fluid res), which I cut a cross in. I pushed my trusty piece of coat hanger through and it appeared just above the clutch pedal.
I then connected the end of boost pipe to the coat hanger then pulled it through. The grommet resealed itself around the pipe.
I then ran the piping around the brake res (to avoid high zorst temps) to the manifold for connection.
Easy to do - just a bit fiddly.
The wires where for the back light of the gauge. these ran down the same route except they stay in the car. I linked mine to the back light of the fog switch.
Mail me if you need any more info.
Chris :)

The other option to gain access to the engine bay is to go through the air con grommet.
This is on the passenger side of the bulkhead and is lower down than the other grommet.
It needs more pipe to run over thr tranmission tunnel etc but keeps the pipe away from the zorst.
If air cons fitted just run it up the side of the aircon drain tube that is already comming out of the grommet.
Good luck and as I've said b4 mail me / post on here if you have any problems (I'll reply in working hours :D )

Its more from the base of the a pillar to the bulk head that i'm concerned about tbh.I will let you know how it goes.
