what is the cause and cure for a front tyre that looses about 3psi every week when all my other tyres are ok.can it be a leaky alloy- any way to seal it??[its a uk my 99 16" wheel with goodyear f1]

slow puncture check for a split or screw or nail. Better still take it to a tyre place ie national or ats

I would say that the cause is a leak somewhere and the cure would be to stop the leak

Have you put some spit onto the end of the valve to see if it bubbles up??

Or soapy water for the more hygenic types ;)

Why don't you take it to a tyre place and get them to look at it. Cant believe anyone would continue driving on a tyre that is losing air.

If the rim is a bit leaky then sometimes over inflating the tyre by about 10 to 15 lb psi then letting it back down to the correct pressure is enough to cure it.
