My drivers side window rattles really badly when driving along, it also has a large scratch mark down the middle of it...

Has anyone had this prob before and know how to stop it rattling, i can put up with the scratch...:)

Mine did it.

Its a worn/loose window mechanism - the scratch will be due to one of the guides scoring the glass.

Its a pretty common fault for all cars up to MY00 - warranty claim if you have any left.

BTW - if its really bad, and the window mechanism can't be re- secured to the door frame, I understand its a replacement door or at least a welding job :eek:

I had the same thing thing on my 03WRX, rattly glass on metal type of noise on top RH of drivers door.
Took it to the dealer twice (8 Hrs total). Door panel taken off more times than lap dancers underpants!
In the end the dealer just adjusted the door latch so the door closed fractionally further than it should. Now I have a little step between the two doors. Dealers, Eh Don't you just love em???
But the noise has gone away.
