About to buy an Xbox, is it possible to play WMA music files on them? either off a CD or the HDD. What is involved?
Cheers! |
Yes you can, you need to be able to run XBMP (Xbox Media Player).
Theres loads to explain about it (need a modchip, run XBMP off CD-RW or hard disk) but it would take me ages to type so... www.xbox-scene.com and dont forget the forums aswell. Dave Oh and DJ Dunk may have a few things to tell you ;) [Edited by druddle - 12/8/2003 1:56:47 PM] |
Yep :) A couple of ways.
1) Put tunes on a CD-RW in audio format and rip them to the HDD using the MS Dashboard. The original MS Dashboard stores the files in 128kbps 16-bit WMA format. You can then play the tunes in some games. 2) Chip the Xbox and use XBox Media Player to playback wma, mp2, avi, ogg, etc. |
LOL, beat me to it Dave :D
Just the other boring way (1) :) |
