Hi all,

I plan to do Ecu chipping on my MY98 car. Unfortunately is no Unichip /www.dastek.za/ dealer. I have founded one in Hungary but he is unable do it due 4WD rolling road missing /only FWD/. He sudgested me Superchips but I`am not sure if is safety modification. Another question is fuel ecnonomy. Unichip can lower fuel cons. at normal drive. Can Superchips do that too?

Erik.
There are lots of topics regarding 'chipping'. Try a search for 'Superchip' or something.
My advice would be to steer well clear of Superchips though.

Erik,

the fuel consumption issue can go both ways. When my Unichip was fitted we had to add fuel throughout the rev range as it was far too lean. Disapointingly, I now only get 170miles from a full tank.....I used to get 210....doh!
