X-box Genius required, DJ dunk I hear yr the man on this little scenerio

Does, anyone know anything about this product (Mouth full isn't it!!:D). I am thinking of buying one for my x-box. I have the usual problem in my spare room, the pc and the x-box on the desk but only enough room for one tv or monitor.

I know there was a post put on here similar to this a few weeks ago but I need more info. I am still I bit unsure of it.

1.Are they worth it?

2.Can I hook both my pc and x-box to the same monitor and use them with out changing the cables over, each time I use the pc/x-box

3.How do I know it will work on my monitor? Does it have to be a certain type of monitor?

Any Info will be gratful Cheers bouys 'n' Girls

With all that mention of YPbPr does than mean there is a component version I can plug straight into my AMP ?

Hello mate,

Yep I have one of these although it doesn't seem to work anymore  Need to take a screwdriver to it ;)

When it worked it was great :)

The box has a monitor in port and a monitor out port. So you just connect your monitor to the output and connect the other one goes to your VGA card. Then it plugs into the X-Box.

It has a switch on the top to select between X-Box and PC connection to your monitor. Worked great on my 19" CRT, but they can be problematic on some LCD screens apparently.

Worth having, but since mine went belly up I just connect to my TV-In card and have picture-in-picture :)

If you don't have a TV-In card then its well worth an investment as the picture quality is very good.

Hope that helps, drop me a mail if you have any more Q's :)

Cheers DJ, following that picture I found this

Xbox component cable

Seems like a bargain, has anybody bought from this crowd? Should I buy from Hong Kong and be patient or buy for twice the price from their European centre? Can't understand why the later should be so much more expensive.

I've used Lik Sang a few times and never had any problems :)

DJ Dunk, Thanx for the info mate, That picture cleared a few things up. I didn't know about the extra pc vga cable you have to buy. I thought it all came in one pack. There not stupid are they, That's more money!! They're trying to take off me!!:D

You mentioned yr's is broken. Any reason why? Are they fragile or badly made or do you just kick it in anger, when you can't complete a game. :D :D

Cheers mate.

No idea why is stopped working, just one of those things I guess ? :) I never used it for playing games though, was very handy for when I'm transferring stuff to the X-Box from the PC without having to have a TV nearby.

Its pretty well made so must have just been mine :D
