I'd be interested in people's views of this car. I'm not really after a comparison with an M3 or S4, just general views.

Thanks.

Bobby Peru 05 December 2003 12:32 AM

I love this car, I'd much rather have one to an S4 (and maybe even the M3), seriously fast, not as involving as the M3 though, auto only (cracking 'box though).

Try pistonheads, there are probably a few owners over there.

Very rare car indeed - only seen one for sale in the Autotrader over the past few months.

(Black with 90,000 miles on the clock).

there was a gorgeous black estae on autotrader 2 weeks ago, 51 plate, 20k miles, fully loaded in black for £29k.....

V v cool cars. Fair bit quicker when rolling than M3, S4 and most other things :D

I've driven one and its very fappin quick.
No traction control so its very easy to light up the rear tyres :)
Good spec too with leather, air con, electric everything inc seats well the model i drove did possibly the ultimate Q car ?!?

ADL-ATR 05 December 2003 10:07 AM

10 for sale at the moment, most estates, on autotrader, 30-35k majority with leather ABS etc............That in the whole country

My friend has one, we've done lots of track days and there is little difference between my P1 and his. Mine a bit on acceleration but his a bit top end. Handles well and a wolf in sheeps clothing. I rate it very highly.

PEE1 05 December 2003 03:47 PM

Of course the C32 has traction control! It's part of the ESP programme. It would be in every ditch otherwise on a wet road.

NOZZER 05 December 2003 04:40 PM

Perhaps he meant when switched off!

Anyone got anything bad to say? (before I place my deposit!)

wrxsmo 05 December 2003 07:04 PM

I worked for Merc for the last 5 years (in the workshop) & whilst it's a great car to drive & a fantastic engine/brakes the build quality is appauling (like many other german brands). If I was lucky enough to have that kinda cash I sure wouldnt spend it on a 3 pointed star.
If you decide to go for one (& I understand you'd be tempted if you drove one) you may as well pop in to your local dealer & introduce yourself as your soon become quite friendly !

Not quite what wanted to hear, but I appreciate the advice.

Can anybody concur?

The C32 i drove was the older shape M reg, not the new one hence to traction control

Bobby Peru 06 December 2003 01:23 PM

You'll mean the C36 then.

RB5#111 06 December 2003 04:52 PM

Uhh possibly i thought it was C32, my mistake

wrxsmo 06 December 2003 09:22 PM
