I was just wondering where else i could possibly find out the history of a house . One im in now .. a victorian one.
Been to library , got some records ... anyone else got any idea's ? thanks. brett |
The title deeds often give a good idea of previous owners etc.....then you could research the names?
I got a whole load of stuff off the solicitor when I got the title deeds. [Edited by imlach - 12/3/2003 4:43:45 PM] |

Hello
Have you seen anything that made you suspicious or someone told you the house was haunted? Steve. |
Well , its happened twice .. my dad has seen 2 figures , a small boy about 7-10 years of age , wearing trousers , shirt and bow tie but with no face. that was the first time .
2nd time he then saw the same boy with a man . dont know any info about the man. And also my mum has seen some form of shoulder / upper body whilst in the kitchen. The house we live in is a victorian house , at least 100 + years old . There are only a few on our road , they were owned by the mill owners in the olden days . So my mum and dad wanted to do some research into the history of the house and its owners. brett |
you can find out who was living in your house in 1901 through magic of t'internet - www.census.pro.gov.uk
