How long do you think it'll until we all have to use a GPS device in the car that'll catch us speeding automatically ??

It doesn't need to use GPS.

As soon as road tolls appear on Motorways then they will do what is currently done in France where they calculate the speed between the two toll stations.

At the moment the shear logistics of it seem unfeasable, and whats stopping someone just switching off the GPS unit? (sort of like taking the cat off between MOT's).

Pure daftness IMO, those idiots in power should be thinking of ways to cull off all the theiving and murdering bar-stewards before even thinking of the idea of GPS based speed monitoring [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

Surely it's an education process that's required not a technology solution?
As with drink driving, make it a social responsibility not a big brother law.
That way you will solve the problem not just treat the symptoms...
