I had the PE 3" catted mid section on my car.
I then tried a Magnex 2,5" centre section with resonator... the car went lean in the upper part of the map, which points to better airflow properties... when the map was adjusted to deal with this the car full benefit of the magnex could be realised... wow. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

In short... the 3" PE catted midpipe is more restrictive than the Magnex 2.5" pipe with the resonator.

The Magnex is available for ~£100ish... so it's also the cheaper option by a big margin.

Oh, and the standard JECS ECU will adjust itself for the pipe... I am running a hardwired map on the motec. Just thought I would add this in case you were worried the magnex would make your car go lean in the same way.

MTR,

I am currently using one of those ubiquitous scoobysport backboxes. I suspect I will keep it until I decide to try a genuine full 3" system again... Hayward and Scott to a Group A sleeve jounted affair that may be interesting... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
