Hi, last night slipped gently into the back of a VW and smashed my left headlamp. Any ideas about where I can get a replacement and rough cost I can expect for replacement so I don't get fleeced?
Cheers.

Johnny.

P.S am tempted to get a twin headlamp conversion anyway, are they easy to fit myself?

Replacements:
dealer: arm and a leg:D:
Breakers: (GradeASubaru are very good): a lot less!
On here: if you're lucky, but usually in pairs: £100 upwards

Morettes: Very nice, easy to fit, but do you really want to alter a P1?????????????

IIRC
dealer price is about £180'ish
Breakers are about £90'ish for used or may do new at a better price than the dealer:)

They do come up here but very rarly and it's bound to be the wrong side or a pair:(

Hi mate, i have a P1 with the Morette conversion. IMHO it looks a lot better with the Morettes on, somehow makes it look " meaner ". The difference in brightness is enormous, the morette conversion use Cibie lights and they are far superior to the standard P1 lights. Go for the conversion, they are easy to fit and look and perform brilliantly.
I will also add that i have today orderd a replacement lens for a passengers side light as one of the lenses has recently been smashed by a stone. Instead of forking out close to £200 for a standeard headlight unit i have had to pay £70 for one cibie driving light!

Hope that helps

Mikey
