Anybody know a book which tells you on how to carry out electrical testing using multimeters,polarity,continuity tests etc

Done this at college years ago but misplaced notes, remember bits but want to refresh myself before testing.

any help will be great

There is an inspection and test book available from the NICEIC.

The IEE do one called guidance notes three, ISBN No 0-85296-956-2.
