I've noticed that in the morning, i.e when cold, the gear change can be quite notchy between 2nd and 3rd gear. This seems to go away when the car is fully up to temperature.

Is this normally or something to worry about?

Any experience, advice etc. gratefully received,

Tone.

Yeah that seems to be the norm and definatley in 1 to 2

Possibly change to a fully Synthetic oil

This problem has all but gone away since I replaced the gearbox oil with Silkolene Pro SRG 75. Nice. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Yup,

I would go for the Silkoline oil. It makes the changes smoother...

Consider changing the rear diff oil at the same time. Just mentioned this because it may otherwise be overlooked, being a seperate oil system. you can use Pro SRG 75 here too.

Cheers Moray,

It's due for the 60000 mile service soon where i believe the gearbox and diff oil are change (along with most of the fluids, oh no the cost!)

Cheers,

Tone.
