My sti8 has a bad "squeek" when i touch the brake when reversing. Just had 10k service and dealer said he stripped and reassembled brakes but problem still there. My x plate wrx also had this problem when scoobysport uprated the brakes. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Don't reverse! ;)

Seriously though, my STi8 does exactly the same, I just put up with it...

my my99 did exactly this too. found out it was a front brake pad - wasn't really worn, but the wear indicator was touching the inner lining of the brake disc.

Agree with Akshay, mine did that also on MY00, replaced the front pads and hey presto, no more squeal.
