i have about 2 hrs worth of the scooby shootout on video from about 2pm onwards, ive got it on DV tape but can make it a mpeg to share. Before i set about the mission of doing this, does anyone actually want a copy?

I'd love a copy - not too convinced with MPEG quality, tho...If you could pop a copy on a CD/dvd then I'd be more than happy to pay for the media/postage and £5 towards your time...

This is doing my head in. if i use adobe premier 6, it takes 15 gigs and wants to encode for about 3 days.
Microsoft movie maker, which is a shed load faster, only saves it in .wmv format. Does anyone have a copy of anything half decent that will capture from a DV camcorder (through firewire) and make mpegs or avi's? Cheers Simon |
pinicle studio ;)

I am interested in a copy. Let me know what I owe you. Looks like you could have a little commercial operation going.

Im not sure if this will help.
Try download power vcr from any file share program ie Kaza. This program enables you to record your dv video to mpeg. |

Have a look at www.download.com Load of apps and stuff there, you can probably find something that will convert the MS Moviemker files in to AVI or MPEG. Personally I'd go MPEG due to size, if you go for a decent algorithm it should be fine, I have burnt plenty to DVD and you would be hard pressed to notice the difference in quality. |
