are all scooby windows painfully slow or is it just mine??

yes i have a sport, so please limit the coments about being like a turbo......but slower!!!

no sod it.........have a dig if you want!!!

little'un 23 November 2003 07:54 PM

Passenger window was slow, thought it might be the motor, but put a bit of WD40 on and that helped - not too much or it'll get v messy and you'll be washing it off for ages.

cheers little'un, i will give it a go!

tiggers 24 November 2003 07:47 PM

They're generally slower on the Sport mnodels whereas on the turbo they crawl to around half way up and then shoot up dead quickly :D

Well you did say to have pop if we wanted!

tiggers.

P.S. In all seriousness they're not the quickest of leccy windows, but not painfully slow either so if yours are dead slow they may need a coat of looking at!

PROBLEM LIST

1 NO TURBO

2 DRINKS TO MUCH PETROL

3 STILL NO TURBO

4 SWIMMING POOL WHERE SPARE SHOULD BE

5 STILL NO TURBO

6 ELECTRIC WINDOWS

7 I CANT BELIEVE THERE IS STILL NO TURBO!

scooby-tc 25 November 2003 08:01 PM

BlackScoobyWRX 25 November 2003 09:05 PM

Back windows are slow but then I'm rarely in the back ;)

Boro 25 November 2003 11:00 PM

Agree with lubing up the windows, i find washing up liquid is better though :D

little'un 26 November 2003 03:17 PM

mild green fairy liquid!

yasawas 26 November 2003 07:40 PM

hmmmm, i think the speed of a turbo would make the regular trips to the shell worth it!!!!

and lubing is always a good idea!!!

On the subject of the windows.

My MY98 wagons front windows dont go all the way back up when I use them when I'm driving. Once I've stopped I have to remember to open the door and pull the up switch to lift them a couple more mm. If I forget then I get a leak if I take it through a car-wash.
Which is'nt nice.

Tony
